On my way home tonight, I saw about fifteen lonely snowflakes as they spiraled down past a streetlight, tossed around by the wind, and sailed off into the darkness. The chill in the air today certainly took me by surprise, after this weekend's springlike weather, but this was something completely unexpected.
They were beautiful.
